FHP-SC-005 FUND: Court files from trials of members of the “Scorpions” paramilitary unit for crimes against civilians in Srebrenica

PERIOD: 2003-2006.

PRIMARY SOURCE: Zagreb County Court (Croatia), War Crimes Chamber of  the District Court in Belgrade (Serbia), Department for Fight Against Organized Crime, Ministry of the Interior (Serbia).

VOLUME AND MEDIUM: 2 archival boxes.

CONTENT: The fund contains documents from the trials of member of the paramilitary formation known as the “Scorpions”, who killed 6 Muslim prisoners during the war in the then Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the place called Gordinjske bare near Trnovo, in breach of the provisions of International Law, and in breach of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. Hence, they committed a criminal act of war  against a civilian population. The fund contains court documents (indictments, verdicts, records from the main hearing, transcripts of audio recordings of the main hearing) from two separate trials: the trial of Slobodan Divković before the Zagreb County Court (Croatia) and the trial of Slobodan Medić, Pera Petrašević, Aleksandar Medić, Aleksandar Vukov and Branislav Medić before the  War Crimes Chamber of  the District Court in Belgrade (Serbia).
