Students’ Visit to HLC

Studenti_u_poseti_FHP_03.2017Students from the School for International Training – (SIT) visited the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) on Thursday, March 2nd 2017. These students go to various universities in the United States, and they are staying in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Kosovo as part of the Peace Studies, the programme organized by the Center for Comparative Conflict Studies at the Faculty for Media and Communication.

Budimir Ivanišević, the HLC Executive Director, informed the students about the work of the HLC since its foundation to date and the situation in Serbia when it comes to dealing with the past and application of transitional justice mechanisms. The students showed particular interest in domestic war crimes trials and RECOM Initiative and HLC’s plans to open its archive and use it for the purpose of memorialization, education and informing of public.
